When I received an invitation to my local Dave & Buster’s for a VIP experience, I honestly wasn’t quite sure what to think. I’ve known about the company for quite I while (I remember when they opened one in my home town) but had never taken the time to pay them a visit.
I now know that I’ve REALLY been missing out.
We have two local D&B’s, but I chose the Pineville location (the other is at Concord Mills).
Upon arriving, we were greeted by the managers and given a tour of the dining facilities. They have a huge dining room plus a spacious private event section and another dining area next to the bar. The spaces are available for rent, so if you’re looking to throw a party (team building, birthdays, holiday gatherings, graduation, you name it) sometime soon, you may want to consider D&B!
Our tour guides then took us to the super impressive game room and straight to the virtual reality booth. The VR experience at the time of our visit was Jurassic World VR Expedition™, and we had a blast trying it out.
Before diving in to the games, we had to grab a bite to eat (of course). The D&B menu is full of apps, burgers, salads, bar bites, sandwiches, and more, so we had a hard time choosing. Check out all the goodies…

Anddd then it was off to the games!
We had no idea where to start, so we picked our obvious faves first. The best had to be Super Mario Kart (there’s just something about playing a life-size version of your favorite Nintendo 64 game) or Mario Kart Arcade GP DX, I should say.
We had a blast jumping around to all types of games, from skee-ball to Pacman to those games where you push coins in to make mounds of them fall into the abyss, resulting in points for you (yes, so silly, but SUPER addicting). We didn’t make our way to every single game, as Dave & Buster’s has an expansive selection (and I kept playing that dang coin game). But I think we did pretty well.
After wearing ourselves out, we circled back to the dining room to dive into dessert. Everything sounded great, but there was no way I was leaving without ordering the Brookie Sundae Tower. No. Regrets.
Every few minutes, I couldn’t help but remark “why haven’t we done this before?!” or “we have to to come back!” We intentionally left credit on our game cards so we could do just that.
If you’re looking for a unique date night or an evening out with friends/kids/family, Dave & Buster’s absolutely has something for everyone. Huge thanks to the team for having me in!
