Food and wine lovers, listen up!

Tickets to this year’s Charlotte Wine & Food Weekend are on sale, and this year, they’re offering a perk for us millennials.
The 35 and younger crowd can purchase a discounted ticket for $75 (normally $125) to the Grand Tasting Event on Friday, April 20.

Charlotte Wine & Food Weekend “brings together leading winemakers and chefs from around the world to celebrate and advance public knowledge of and appreciation for great wine and food.” Also known as a foodie’s paradise.
Other weekend events include restaurant dinners, the 1000-Point Tasting (sold out), a Riedel seminar (fancy wine glass company), and the Grand Gala and Silent Auction.

Here are the quick facts on the four-day food and wine celebration.
What: 30th Annual Charlotte Wine & Food Weekend
When: Wednesday, April 18 – Saturday, April 21
Where: Various locations around Charlotte. See website for schedule of events.
Why: To nourish our youth. One hundred percent of proceeds will go to five local children’s charities.
Who: Participating restaurants include Barrington’s, Bonterra, Corkbuzz, The Fig Tree, Napa on Providence, Porcupine Provisions, The Porter’s House, Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, SouthPark Grill, Stagioni, and WP Kitchen + Bar. Yum.
Vino: Enjoy wines from 16 wineries.
Don’t forget: Your ID (must be 21 years or older) and a form of payment (if you want to bid in the auction or buy extra items.)
