Y’all know I love my local restaurants. But today I’m writing about a franchise that just opened in Charlotte: Ted’s Montana Grill. These kind folks invited me in to eat, and I had to say yes to BISON.
Founders Ted Turner and George McKerrow, Jr. opened the first Ted’s in Columbus, Ohio in 2002 to pay tribute to all things bison. The menu includes 20 burgers and three premium-cut steaks (all available in bison or beef) plus appetizers, salads, sandwiches, other entrees, and dessert.
You’ll notice that all cuts of bison are served with a mini American flag stuck right in. Because, you know. America.
First, we started with complimentary homemade pickles. Score!
Next, the salads. I haven’t stopped thinking about the Kale Salad: roasted corn, Anaheim pepper, tomato, fresh herbs, and AMAZING vinaigrette. The Wedge with bacon, tomatoes, and blue cheese was delicious, as well.
Then came THE MEATS. We shared the Bison Kansas City Strip with mashed potatoes and the veggie of the day and the Green and Hot bison burger (pepper jack, grilled jalapeños, guacamole, chipotle ranch) with perfect onion rings. Definitely diggin’ bison burger meat. So tender!
And the grand finale… Kahlúa® Fudge Brownie. Caramel sauce, coffee icing, vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and Kahlúa® fudge sauce. Check out my Insta for some sauce action. Drooool.
Shout out to Ted’s for an excellent meal (and GREAT service.) Can’t wait to go back and try more of those burgers!
This post was created after a complimentary meal from Ted’s Montana Grill. All opinions are my own.
