Update [7/10/18]: Georges Brasserie is now closed. 😦
Earlier this year, I had the pleasure of interviewing Azam Mehdi, partner of Georges Brasserie. He and George Bakatsias have impressed guests with fine French dining in the heart of South Park for over six years.
If you think this establishment is too fancy for ya, think again. While they do serve several dishes that I cannot pronounce, I can assure you they have something that will suit you. Think mussels bathed in white wine… crab cakes… charcuterie boards… and some of the best frites (yes, French fries) you can find in CLT.
Take a look at some of their new fall menu items and some old favorites.
Balsamic Brussel Sprouts from the bar menu. Unreal.Tuna 2 Ways – five spice seared and sake soy tartare with cucumber, avocado, and sweet potato chips, with wasabi mayo and sriracha on the sideChili-Charred Pork Belly – hot pepper jam, black garlic aioli, shaved brussel sprouts, and garlic oilQuinoa and Kale Salad – red quinoa, baby kale, tart cherries, goat cheese feta, and a champagne vinaigrette that I am REALLY obsessed with…Clay Pot Lobster Pappardelle – homemade pappardelle pasta with sweet cream lobster, baby spinach, cherry tomatoes, and bread crumbsBrussel Sprouts – roasted garlic, macadamia, sage buerre blanc, and heirloom cherry tomatoesWild Mushrooms – garlic, white truffle, and GOAT CHEESE (love these)New Zealand Rack of Lamb – whoa baby!! Lemon herb poached potatoes, goat cheese, and a fig-merlot balsamic glaze (so tasty)Last but not least… Creme Brûlée 🙂
Hope you’ll check out Georges soon! See ya there on my next visit – BRUNCH.
This post was created after a complimentary meal from Georges Brasserie. All opinions are my own.
