Where to Eat This Fall: Ilios Noche

I have way too many restaurants on my bucket list. And Ilios Noche has been high on that list for quite a while.

I finally ate at Ilios a few weeks ago, and it was delicious. We shared 6 different small plates so we could get a bite of several items. From the zucchini and eggplant chips to the  grilled octopus, everything was amazing.

So imagine my happiness when I was invited to a fall menu tasting at Ilios just a few days later!

I returned to Ilios in Quail Corners for the sampling and tried 12 new dishes from the 2015 fall/winter menu. The Mediterranean flavors were an absolute hit for me, and enjoying them in such a cozy, warm setting made the experience even better. Seriously love the decor here.

Take a look at these new plates (and a few wine pairings to make things more interesting). Note that all 5 desserts are brand new – if you had a favorite dessert at Ilios in the past, I promise you’ll have no trouble picking a new one.

Meze – Tapas – Salad
(Wine: J. Lohr Rieseling)

noche1
Goat Cheese Stuffed Peppadew Peppers
noche2
Arrancini De Riso: crisp risotto ball, fontina, dill, tomato coulis
noche3
Vegetable Souvlaki – Love these. So much flavor.
noche4
House Seasonal Salad: kale, honey crisp apple, fennel, cranberries, goat cheese, maple-citrus vinaigrette – SO refreshing!

Entrees – Pizza

noche7
Grilled Mahi Mahi: cerignola olive tapenade, goat cheese couscous, roasted tomato, lemon (Wine: Stag’s Leap Chardonnay) – Obsessed with the ingredients here.
noche6
Carbonara Pizza: pancetta, mozzarella, pecorino, pea shoots, poached egg (Wine: Stag’s Leap Chardonnay)
noche8
Chicken Parmesan: breaded chicken scallopini, parmesan, capellini marinara (Wine: Klinker “Old Ghost” Zinfandel) – Great for splitting with a friend 🙂

Desserts

noche9
Spiced Apple Cobbler (Wine: Jovino Pinot Gris) – This is served cold, but don’t let that deter you. It was my favorite dessert!
noche11
Sweet Potato-Ginger Pie (Wine: Jovino Pinot Gris)
noche10
Coconut Angel Food Cake (Wine: Jovino Pinot Gris) – That’s passion fruit ice cream on the side. Great stuff.
noche13
Peanut Butter Cream Puffs (Wine: Taylor “20 year” Tawny) – These are AMAZING. The Belgian chocolate in the middle makes you never want to eat a Hershey’s bar again.
noche12
Ilios Chocolate Cake (Wine: Taylor “20 year” Tawny)

YUM… I’m already planning my next trip back! Which dish are you most excited to try this fall at Ilios?? Leave a comment on my Insta @eatdrinkclt with your fave!

This post was created after a complimentary meal from Ilios Noche. All opinions are my own.
