Update [7/10/18]: Zebra is now closed. 😦
As you may or may not know, I’ve only lived in Charlotte for just under a year. But I’ve visited this city many times – especially for shopping trips to SouthPark Mall. On several trips, I noticed the “Zebra” sign across the street and never quite knew what it meant.
Upon moving here, I found out it was a restaurant! And last night, I had the pleasure of tasting 7 dishes off their new fall menu.

Kim and Pascale Salahie, the new owners of Zebra, took over in the spring and have transformed the restaurant both inside (decor) and out (patio). They’ve also taken a more contemporary approach to the menu while still focusing on fine dining and French-American cuisine. Kim and Pascale have lots in store for the restaurant, including wine dinners and afternoon tea. Sounds like fun!
I can’t choose just one dish to highlight because they were all fabulous. The food was beautifully plated, matching the elegant (but not stuffy) flavors. My personal favorites: the pork belly, the acorn squash soup, and the potatoes that come with the duck breast. Take a look at the photos (by me) and descriptions (by Zebra).

Such a treat to try these amazing dishes. If you’re looking for a delicious breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, or cocktail, head on over to Zebra. You’ll love the new twists! Thank you, Kim and Pascale, for this sneak peek!
This post was created after a complimentary meal from Zebra. All opinions are my own.
RIP zebra, couldn’t keep up with times
